First impressions count

CaregiverAsia has launched Caregiver Support Services (CSS), which will help caregivers listed on its platform to have a more professional profile online. They will also be equipped with essential tools to help them in their caregiving careers. Besides training and profile writing assistance, caregivers can further opt for background checks to be done on them, creating a more trusted caregiving environment. These services are offered in various packages that cost from S$10 to S$100.

Initially, CSS will include:

  1. Training – NTUC Learning Hub-CaregiverAsia caregiver awareness training videos – NTUC Learning Hub and CaregiverAsia have produced three sets of three-minute e-learning videos on the proper and appropriate techniques on hand hygiene, grooming and communication for caregivers. These videos will allow caregivers to acquire awareness skills and add “learning badges” to their profiles on the CaregiverAsia platform.
  2. Professional profile writing and photo-taking.
  3. Background check by First Advantage, a global security screening company.

Yeo Wan Ling, CEO of CaregiverAsia, said: “Caregivers are really great at caregiving, but might need an extra boost in enhancing their careers as caregivers. We want to help caregivers put their best side forward on our site by putting across the perfect profile for them. In addition, we want to create a more trusted caregiving environment so that careseekers can transact with peace of mind. We have done so by putting in global background checks and easily accessible online caregiving skills awareness training programmes.”

Further improvements

CaregiverAsia has also made some improvements on its site, launching a new, improved and dynamic calendar system which allows its caregivers to manage and consolidate their availability for all their services in one place. Visually, it looks and works like Google Calendar where one can drag and select the time period of the services offered and available. The new scheduling system also takes into account rest, packing up and preparation time between bookings. Dynamic booking lengths are also possible, which means that services can be booked for durations within caregivers’ specified time range (minutes, hours, days, weeks and months). This is also good news for careseekers as the system makes it intuitively easy to book services online themselves.

CaregiverAsia offers a whole range of services such as in-home care, respite care, assisted living, skilled nursing care, personal care, rehabilitative care, dementia care, special needs and many others.
