ContributorsHomage has introduced two new apps for caregivers and families of care recipients that will connect families and the company’s ‘Care Pros’ via their mobile devices, anytime, anywhere. Homage provides on-demand home caregiving to seniors.
The new apps employ Homage’s matching algorithm, which is already functioning via the Web-based version of Homage, and is currently pending patent approval and considers 40 unique factors including a Care Pro’s skill set and schedule, as well as each family’s unique requirements.
The apps will help both the families and patients, and the Care Pros. For the latter, the mobile Homage Care Pro app, will allow these Care Pros to accept job requests and update their schedules and services on-the-go, by the minute. This empowers Care Pros to work as ‘micro-entrepreneurs’, taking charge of their schedules and maintaining their work-life balance. The app also facilities a standardised post-visit record process to ensure all relevant patient information is captured on the easily accessible mobile platform.
Care Pros can also view comprehensive information about their clients, and receive instant notification and access to updated patient information. The information will include the client’s profile and detailed summaries from previous visits, ensuring that the Care Pros have comprehensive and quick access to their patients’ records.
For the families and patients, the mobile Homage app, provides them greater visibility into the entire caregiving process and increased accountability from caregivers. Families have full access to the Care Pro’s profile before the visits and can communicate instantly with him or her via an in-app chat function. The app also records detailed visit summaries, which include activities and services provided during the visit as well as the patient’s vital signs. This ensures that all critical information can be collated on a platform for quick review and any necessary adjustment.
PG Lim, who runs Creative Agency 2i1e and is the daughter of a Homage care recipient named Madam Chua, shared, “I have a hectic work schedule and Homage allows me to be at work without worrying about my mother – it’s so easy because I can track what goes on during the visit and the app notifies me when the visit summary is available. I also love the chat feature – I often chat with my Care Pro during the visit and she sends me pictures of what my mum is up to!”
The Homage app and Homage Care Pro app are available on the App Store for iOS and the Google Play Store for Android.
